2024 Nebbiolo

Nebbiolo is the reason I bought this vineyard. My favourite grape, the Queen of Italy, and further proof I probably should’ve been Italian. Where was Bruno mum??

Bright red fruit flavours - think: sour cherries, dried herbs and a little spice, with that classic Nebbiolo grip and plenty of fresh Granite Belt acidity. Light on its feet, seriously food-friendly and dangerously easy to keep going back to. 

Give it a decent decant (drinks better day 2 I feel) put something delicious on the table and pretend you’re sitting in a little Italian piazza devouring a big bowl of truffle pasta. 

Drink: Now, with food and preferably friends. Good lunch banger. 
Eat: Truffle pasta, mushroom risotto, slow-cooked beef, Porchetta or anything involving too much parmesan.  Add more fat, cheese, cream
