2023 Chardonnay

I'd literally put Chardonnay on my Wheetbix if it was socially acceptable.  I just love a good chard.  We have two big blocks of Chardonnay here at the St Judes vineyard - one at the top of the hill and the other at the bottom of the hill.  The higher fruit gets given to one winemaker who makes it into a classic barrel ferment, oaky, bold number, the fruit down along Eukey Road (bottom of the property) we turn into more that Chablis style wine, un-oaked, lighter/crisper.  

Initially I was going to make two different Chards, but the reality of adding another wine to our wine list was a step to far so we blended together giving an epic New World meets Old World style wine - a big oaky start followed by a crisp, minerally finish.

Super yum.  We love it.
